The drillers got to 70 feet on Saturday and hit "blue clay". It is deeper down than regular brown clay and the Idaho Dept of Water Resources doesn't want the two types of clay to mingle, so they have to seal the layers by pouring in Bentonite chips. An inspector has to come out and make sure the seal is done correctly, so on Monday they should be done and can finish drilling.
What a mess in the yard!
