More Christmas News

Lynn & I spent our first Christmas day as "empty-nesters". Really strange without any kids at all to watch open gifts or get excited over what Santa left. Went to Steve & Becky's for a nice lunch. Becky baked a yummy ham, "funeral potatoes" and hot bread. It was fun to watch Kaiya explain the intricacies of her new doll house with the crank elevator to the 2nd floor and share Michael's enthusiasm about his new drag-racing track. Vanessa's eyes just sparkle when her new teething toys light up and play sounds. As many as could make it came over to the house about 5:00 to await Alan's phone call. Brother Brooks in Aiken, SC allowed the missionaries to use his phone to call us. Anna Hauser and Tyler Williams came over as well as Steve's family, David's family & Kevin's family. Everyone got a chance to talk to Alan, even his nieces and nephews. Tim & Jen had to work and we are sorry they could not be here. David got a tow call just before, but he was able to make it back in time for his turn to talk. Alan sounded good and seems to be very busy & happy serving the people in Aiken. Many thanks to the Brooks family for welcoming Alan into their home.
